A few months ago, I was selected to speak at Platmosphere 2025, a one-day event organized by Mia-Platform, taking place on May 20th in Milan.
In this post, I’d like to share a few insights into the topic I’ll cover without giving away the slides or too many details.
I’m excited to be part of Platmosphere, an event dedicated to the evolution of platform engineering and the people driving it forward.
Over the past four years as a platform engineer, I’ve been deeply involved in building internal platforms, scaling automation, and aligning engineering practices with evolving business needs. It’s been a journey filled with experimentation, collaboration, wins, and lessons from failures.
In my talk, I’ll reflect on this experience, introducing key concepts like automation and platform abstraction, and how they’ve influenced outcomes across teams and projects.
This isn’t just a technical deep dive… It’s a story of transformation, decision-making, and what it really takes to build and maintain reliable platforms.
Of course, I can’t leave the stage without touching on how AI is influencing platform engineering. But if you want to hear more, join my session at 3:30 PM in the Platform Stories Track (in English). If you’re planning to attend, feel free to reach out before or after the talk if you’d like to meet up or have a chat.
