The RSA Conference 2026 (RSAC 2026) is around the corner. This event, taking place in San Francisco starting on March 23rd, once again brings together security vendors, practitioners, and researchers to explore the evolving cybersecurity landscape. Among the companies present this year is Commvault, highlighting its vision for unified cyber resilience and operational recovery.

During previous industry events, such as Shift Virtual Event 2025 and the last AWS re:Invent 2025, I had the opportunity to take a closer look at their strategies and technologies. In those discussions and sessions, the focus was already moving beyond traditional backup toward cyber resilience platforms designed to support cloud-native workloads, hybrid environments, and automated recovery workflows.

This evolution reflects a broader shift I highlighted in my previous posts: data protection is no longer only about backup but about ensuring operational resilience when incidents occur. Check these topics further. You can read my previous posts about Commvault’s cyber resilience strategy at Shift (https://blog.linoproject.net/commvault-intelligent-data-resiliency-for-the-cloud-and-ai-era/), a deeper look at Synthetic Recovery and the ResOps model (https://blog.linoproject.net/commvault-synthetic-recovery-a-core-pillar-of-resops-vision/), and my coverage of cloud-native recovery discussed during AWS re: Invent (https://blog.linoproject.net/from-dynamodb-to-apache-iceberg-next-level-cloud-recovery-with-clumio/).

If you are attending RSAC 2026, you may want to check out a Commvault session scheduled for March 25 from 2:25 PM to 3:15 PM PT titled “When Attackers Swing at You: Recover Fast & Don’t Tap Out with ResOps.” The session will focus on strategies to maintain operations during cyberattacks and improve recovery readiness, with insights from Commvault security experts.

You can find more details about Commvault’s presence at RSAC, including session and booth activities, here: https://www.commvault.com/events/rsac-2026/. Although I’ll be following the event remotely, I’ll keep an eye on the broader conversation around Commvault’s announcements and demos through:

  • Social media and community discussions

  • Insights from TechFieldDay coverage

  • Conversations with practitioners and security professionals

In particular, I’m curious to see how the ResOps model evolves and how it integrates with modern security architectures that combine identity, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation. You can also follow the broader RSAC coverage and sessions through the TechFieldDay program here: https://techfieldday.com/event/rsac2026/.

This post is just the beginning. As RSAC unfolds, I’ll share additional insights, highlights from sessions, and interesting technical perspectives that emerge from the conference.

Stay tuned.
